Super 8 by Wyndham McDonough GA

The room was clean. No carpet was nice. Somehow, their state tax is 8%? The other amenities were sparse. One coffee, no spoon. One sliver of soap. Very sparse breakfast. However, the towels were very nice and clean. Would have overlooked alot easier, had they not assessed a $50 security deposit. Very hopeful that gets refunded promptly. Therefore I had to make sure I keep the detailed report. I might have trusted them more and not noticed the overcharge on state tax.

Positive: Room large enough to accommodate wheelchair client when no accessible room available but only a standard sized. Beds were comfortable. Allow service dog. Negative: Hotel is old and in need of updating. Picture on internet does not reflect actual room. Breakfast falls way below the standard of Super 8Packaged honey buns and coffee only. Dead roach in room. At least it was dead.

The place was located close to the highway along my route and was pet friendly (I was traveling with my dog) so I decided to stay here for the night. Staff was friendly enough and the rooms were in okay shape, but there were various kinds of bugs in my room. Roaches, spiders, some other I couldn’t identify. It was late so I just killed the few I saw and went to bed. There were more crawling around when I woke up 5 hours later, and I let the staff know about it. He just acted surprised and didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience/grossness. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate for a place to stay for the night.

We were to stay 3 weeks as our new home was not ready for move in. The night staff new we had several show dogs well trained in our room at check in. After 1 week the owners decided to charge us more for the dogs for the next week going forward. It would cost us more for the dogs for the week than our stay for two humans in a room! Seriously??!! Day staff were very accommodating unfortunately the night staff that checked us in lied to the owners and said they didn't know how many dogs we had. The cleaners spent about 5 minutes every other day to "clean " the room but never changed the bed sheets for the 10 days we were there ( stated that the bedding would be changed every 3 days)! We swept and cleaned the room more than they did! Other guests with dogs didn't have the decency to pick up a

Do not stay at this hotel. They will lie and make false accusations just to keep your deposit. Management accused me of damaging the sheets by claiming there were holes, even though I do not smoke and had nothing in the room that could cause that. They went through my trash, saw discarded cigar wrappers, and tried to create a fake correlation to justify keeping my deposit — which is highly unprofessional and invasive. The manager refused to refund me and argued that the sheets had no holes or stains. However, when I was allowed back into the room and saw the “fresh” linen, it clearly had both stains and holes already present, which makes the situation even more suspicious. This feels like a setup and a common tactic to take guests’ money. Save yourself the stress and your money and stay
