Candlewood Suites McDonough by IHG

Our stay at the Candlewood Inn in McDonough, GA was absolutely fantastic! The full kitchen was a must-have for us and made the trip so much easier. Add in the free laundry (a total lifesaver!) and it checked every box. They don't serve breakfast here, but honestly, with the amount of space in the room and the ability to cook our own meals, it wasn’t a downside at all. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for settling in. We did run into a couple of minor issues during our stay, but every single one of them was handled immediately, professionally, and with total respect. That level of care goes a long way. At first things were great , location , rooms were nice etc. In my mind I’m already thinking of how nice everything is and planning to come back at a later date. However, the unthinkable happens, I wake up on checkout day and there’s an extra charge on my account. I go an ask receptionist ( Daniella) at front desk for an explanation. She investigates and says to me, the charge you’re inquiring about is a new reservation made on your account with the card you have on file on the 03/07. (Now let me explain: I am a Platinum Elite member at IHG hotels and I have tons of rewards plus points. On this visit I decided to use my points to cover my whole stay so that was my plan. I stayed at the Candlewood Suites at 136 Highway 81 West in McDonough, GA and had a wonderful, peaceful stay due in part by the excellent staff that were most helpful in my needs as I have extensive health issues. Their kindness in making a most pleasent stay were all instumental in this. The staff that served me in making this one of my best experiences were Dulce and Jaden I will remember their professional and truly caring wonderful demeanor.

The lady at the front desk had beautiful magenta colored hair, she was so polite and helpful. Thanks to her I felt seen and appreciated for staying. Keep up the good work. She also told us about the FREE coffee and Hot Chocolate that we loved. Thanks again.

Every time we stay, the staff delivers personalized, friendly service that truly sets this place apart. The beds are absolutely the most comfortable we’ve slept on — after long tournament days, that alone is worth the stay. They’ve also gone above and beyond with the little things: when we forgot toothpaste, they happily gave us some for free, and they even handed us Taco Mac coupons, which was a great bonus for grabbing dinner nearby.
