Super 8 by Wyndham McAllen/Downtown/La Plaza Mall

Very nice and super clean spacious rooms. I also want to give a shout out to the front desk staff name Robert. Robert was very attentive and very caring. After off loading my stuff into my room I went to park my car in the back and before I knew it Robert was there just to make sure that I was safe since it was late at night. Which meant a lot to me and made our stay felt even more safe....Kudos to you Robert and Super 8 motel!

We booked based on reviews and no matter what people put here...perspective is reality. This isn't a fake review either nor did anyone or any other competitor pay me to write this. I don't typically review but this had to be said. My wife, daughter and I came to help her get set up in her apartment before starting back at college again. Checking reviews to make a decision are deceiving and worthless....so here we go, location bad, AC didn't keep humidity out of room, mattress was lopsided and uncomfortable (slept horrible), bathroom was still dirty, girl at front desk told my daughter...."breakfast is light in a small area". I walked in the next morning looked to see for myself and it was just as described, got a cup of coffee and walked right out...ended up throwing out coffee as it was n

This place is cheap and it was close to where I wanted to go, but otherwise I'd pick another motel if I were you. Around 7:00pm on night 2 of my 2 night stay, a group of guys in big trucks started tailgating in the parking lot right outside my room with music and talking and laughing loudly. I called the front desk to see if they could ascertain how long they'd be after they'd already been there about an hour because I didn't feel comfortable as a single woman confronting them. Around 9pm I called the desk again for an update and the desk person said their manager had talked to them and found out they would be done around 10:30 or 11:00pm. Apparently there's no noise ordinance? The front desk person apologized, but didn't offer me any solutions, so I checked out and went to Comfort Inn.

Staff for shift 1pm so inconsiderate. We booked for 2nights and have been staying for like 3nights already but we had to check out because we thought our semi truck be released. But unfortunately it wasn’t released until Monday Nov 10, 2025. So our company booked us here again and we understand that check in time is at 4pm But we were not allowed to wait in their reception area but we can leave our stuff. In the morning past 11am we were allowed to wait until they have available room. We just left to eat nearby but when we came back we are not anymore allowed to wait in their reception area. Why is it that the staff before her allowed us but when it’s her duty it’s not allowed. I don’t understand. My experience here with this hotel and the towing company is so mean. Businesses here if not

Absolutely the best place we have stayed since leaving home in January to come south to winter! This motel has a wonderful accommodating manager & office staff as well as the cleaning crew. The rooms are CLEAN & WELL maintained! Love the kitchen area! Clean washer and dryer! Breakfast! And they also figured in a veterans discount. Planned on one night & We ended up staying a week!
