I was impressed with the amount of kindness and hospitality shown to us. The staff respected our privacy and didn't hesitate to help with any of our requests. There is a security guard at night so it helped us sleep better as well. It was affordable and peaceful. The breakfast was fresh.

Firstly, I’ve seen apologizes dating back to 2015 from the management, don’t bother guys, you clearly don’t mean a word since nothing has been done to fix any issues. I wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted my time. This hotel is far below standard. So far below that calling it a dump would be a compliment. ||||Wash the bed spreads. Mine was covered in a mystery goo that appeared to have been there quite a while so I threw it on the floor. ||||The beds are probably circa 1970. I don’t think I’ve ever had a worse one. ||||The carpet is old and full of burns and filthy. I felt I had to keep my shoes on||||Upon moving the fridge to plug it in, I found garbage and dust bunny’s the size of rats. ||||The furniture is beat up. Kudos to Super 8 Motel in Gastonia, North Carolina. If you are passing through or visiting the Charlotte area and find yourself in need of a comfortable, clean, economical room, Super 8 is my pick here. I've had a good, affordable, restful stay these past four nights. I'm seriously thinking of staying one more night before I hit the road to Georgia, simply because this room feels like a safe harbor. I saw two or three fairly negative earlier reviews, but what I have NOT seen in the past four afternoons and nights here is anything bad about this room. Everything works. The internet connection is not the greatest, but come on, are you here to surf the web, or shower and sleep? The bed is a big clean good-smelling pillow-top king. The fridge and microwave look new. Steel tub, no rust, no mold

Drug deals happening outside our room. Holes in the blankets and the rug looked like it had NEVER been vacuumed never mind cleaned. Air conditioner sounded like a tank going through the room. Staff was very rude. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Have seen abandoned holdings that looked like they would be safer and cleaner. And to top it off was charged $17 more than what the website stated as the price for 1 night with no explanation as to why. Travel ALOT and will never stay at again.

We arrived in the middle of the night. The room was clean and decently priced. My only complaint is there were cockroaches in the air vent of the bathroom. Being the South East however I understand how difficult it is to battle those little beasts. I wrapped everything in garbage bags just to make sure I took none with me. Bathroom and room were nice for the price. Thank you
