Hampton Inn Charlotte-Gastonia

Easy enough to find. Close to McAdenville where we went to see the lights on our way further south. Lukewarm greeting upon arrival. I thought gold members get 2 waters complimentary, but nothing said about them at check-in. Rooms are very dated. Somewhat recently updated but this building has seen better days. The woman at the desk in the morning was much more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Had a lovely last minute stay here on thanksgiving night! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms feel cozy and comfortable, breakfast was solid. The staff were kind and working hard to keep breakfast flowing for so many people. We were glad we stayed here.

I’ve spent over 960 nights in hip hitting properties and the bed in room 106 is one of the top 3 worst. No support, the middle of the mattress just sinks when laying on it, and stains all over the mattress.

Checked in 11/14 Desk clerk a male with long black hair was rude and very uninformative for stay. We can't understand why deposit was needed as many times stayed should have been good enough to establish credibility We asked for two each of towels and washcolths along with 1 bathmat less than 5 minutes after checkin.He was acting bothered he had to go after the items and said We would have to turn in for exchange any more items.We are honor members and the untrusting clerk exhibited to us unessesary conduct He did not explain a deposit was being charged and should have .We got deposit back and alls good but this man sure was acting like he did not like his job .Don't take it out on the customer and be respectful

The hotel is near I85. Nice lobby, staff was great. Room a bit musty. Try to stay in an odd number room which do not face the highway. Couch in the room frayed and could be replaced. TV selection is okay. Bathroom was fine. Breakfast was done well with the typical Hampton selections. No issue with the Wi-Fi.
