Holiday Inn Express Charlotte West - Gastonia by IHG

This place is weird. Policy states no room rental to locals. The radius is 25miles of the hotel. So if you live within 25 miles of the hotel, you a CANNOT rent a room. It's their policy. Mind you I booked through a website and before I could check in, someone was meeting me at my van as I parked, to "warn" me of this ridiculous policy. I do not recommend this place.

The breakfast is awesome and the price was cheap. Our stay was $125 and has a nice little indoor pool. The cars outside were a bit noisy but we slept through it- if you’re sensitive bring a sound machine. Nice hotel and hot breakfast can’t be beat

On our way home, we were fortunate to find this hotel conveniently located off Route 85. The facility is gated and the parking lot is brightly lit. We were warmly greeted at 8pm at the front desk by Sunshine. We did not have reservations, but she made check in easy. The room was clean and comfortable. We were so happy to finally find a hotel stay with excellent air/heating units that worked well. The bed was very comfortable and we had a complimentary bottle of water in our room. This is a no smoking facility which is great for people who are sensitive to smoke smells. The only downside to the room was the bathroom. The hand soap dispenser was not filled, the tub and floor felt a little slippery like it could use a good scrubbing. Otherwise, towels were clean and plentyful. In the morning

Fresh with renovations, the hotel is a comfortable place to stay away from home. Strategically placed furnishings keep everything you need to be close at hand. ||The breakfast offering was varied. ||There were many other amenities that we did not explore.
