Super 8 by Wyndham Gainesville I-75 Hospital/University Area

I have rented quite a few motels. But never stayed at the super 8 before. The experience was great the room was clean. Just need to have a little extra dusting going on when it comes down to the cabinets that's in here pull out appliance equipment and dust behind them. Other than that this place is great. I wish they had a better choice when it came down to the breakfast other than just waffles and toast a yogurt. But other than that this place is great especially for the price thank you guys that make this possible thank you for all the people that keep it clean thank you my stay here was awesome. Only problem I had was them charging me for a safe that was in a room. Was never told that I was going to be charged for a safe. Which I never use or didn't even know I was being charged for tha

Used my Wyndham Rewards points for a free stay, but the regular price would have been a great deal had I not used them. The rooms have been updated and are very spacious. The continental breakfast ends at 9am. There was almost nothing left when I got downstairs, at about 8:40am, so try to get there early. There’s a Waffle House and a McDonald’s within walking distance, so those may be your best breakfast options. There’s also plenty of shopping and other dining options very close by. All in all, this place is a great deal!

Check in was easy and the manager was very nice however the night shift guy was rude. We went to breakfast that morning at the hotel and the breakfast was only toast waffles coffee apple juice and orange juice no fruit nor meat the syrup taste very cheap and flavorless our room wasn't cleaned properly and they had the nerve to leave a tip envelope on the night stand. We had to clean the room ourselves to make sure it was done right. The water got hot then cold like the plumbing was bad or something. We would have checked out before the 4 days was up but didn't wanna lose or have to wait on our money back since we stayed on the Christmas holiday. The stench hits you the moment you open the lobby door. The hallway smelled even worse as I lugged my suitcases up to the second floor (no elevator). The room has no real desk. It has a ledge, which is barely large enough to hold a laptop and replaces what would normally be a nightstand. There is a shower only, no tub. One of the beds had a corner that was noticably caved in as if a large man had been repeatedly using it as a chair. This is hardly surprising since the room has 2 queen beds and only one chair. The TV inputs were locked down so you can't change the source. I asked the guy at the front desk for some help and he said because one guest messed up his TV settings, they locked them all down and made the HDMI ports unusable. This is not a valid reason to deprive all your guests
