Prairie Creek Lodge

Our beer club meets here at least once a year for our big Medieval Faire meeting. Nice wood Lodge. Great for social gathering. Spacious. Plenty of parking. People that keep it up are really nice. Bit of a drive but worth it once in awhile.

The hardest day of my life was burying my son. His choice for a green burial left me with total peace. I have to be honest... I was skeptical at first. The grounds are beautiful. It's peaceful and Freddie was wonderful! I know he is where he wants to be.

The lodge is truly magical. If you ever have a chance to attend an event I highly recommend it. You are 15 minutes outside of town but you really feel like you are far out in the country. Staff is amazing.

Perfect setting for a Green burial !! My eldest Brother is here ,near a young tree in what most closely resembles old Florida , in a serene and parklike setting . With the added bonus of being in an area barred from development , its much like his property he lived , raised a family on and shared many happy times with family and friends , he is sorely missed by all who were blessed to be in his company!!

You would just have to experience the area. There's a farm on one side with a horse barn which opens onto a "natural" cemetery and a hiking trailhead. You'd never know about the cemetery. No headstones or markers. No caskets allowed. Everything must be biodegradable. Truly natural.
