Super 8 by Wyndham Forrest City AR

If you’re looking for a hotel that you over pay and get wonderful service and the smells are just amazing (sarcastically), the Super 8 in Forrest City is the place for you. I showed up around 11:30 PM to find the front door locked and absolutely no one at the desk. Eventually someone wandered out from the back and let me in, but the vibe was already questionable. The smell of marijuana inside was… impressive. Like, Olympic-level. If “Weed Scent of the Year” were a fragrance, this place would be the factory. The room? Let’s just say it did not exactly scream “freshly cleaned.” More like “we tried our best but gave up halfway.” Molding had mold around the window. The floors were gross. Didn't look bad from the outside. Man a check in was nice and informative. Room was very dated, dirty. Marijuana smell so strong you could hardly breathe in the hall. Furniture looked left out in weather. Terribly damaged. Beds were good and we were beat so we stayed. No coffee pot. No breakfast. No one at the desk as we loaded the car and left. Very disappointed.

0 Stars. Don't let the "by Wyndham" fool you, it does not live up to that standard. These are franchises and this location is a thumbs down. I would not recommend anyone staying here. We specifically stated we wanted a king bed and that we had 2 dogs. No problem, until we got there and were told, king bed rooms are not pet rooms. Took a pet friendly room with 2 full beds and so much furniture that it was difficult to set up our kennels. Room air was not turned on, floors were not vacuumed, fridge in the room didn't work. Looked at 2 other rooms which were also dirty and hot from air not being turned on. There were large black crickets inside and outside the hotel. Positive: "" Negative: Upon entry there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana in the hotel. The smoke detector in our room didn’t have a battery and was “chirping”. When I called the front desk, the staff member said just to disconnect the smoke detector (which is illegal).

Only found this facility because of the address online. Outside signs and parking lot lights were dark/burned out or not turned on. Only 2 or 3 cars there and could not even tell if it was open until we pulled up and could see someone at the desk through the window. Front door was broken (not a good first impression). Very sketchy but we asked to see a room and the young woman gave us a key to the room. It seemed clean and sufficient so we stayed. Bed was good, tv worked well, everything was clean, heater worked well and quietly, it was quiet (no traffic noise) however there also were not many people staying there......... but.......one of the locks was broken from the room door leaving screw holes and need for repainting, no battery in the smoke detector, no breakfast and no one on d
