Econo Lodge Forrest City I-40

My daughter and I stayed here in room 115 Tuesday night, 08/19/25. We were there from around 9 PM until 7:30 the following morning. Within a half hour of departing, both my daughter and I start scratching our ankles. Turns out, we had been bitten by fleas. Well, we had no pets with us, and we weren't exposed to any pets or other sources of fleas on our trip, so while I cannot say that I saw any fleas in the hotel room, I cannot imagine where else they might have come from. Besides that, the room price was advertised as $ 63 or $ 65 per night. I reserved two rooms, one for the gentleman that was traveling with us. My bill was $ 190.00. Yeah - go figure. I know that hotel room taxes are high - about $ 16,00 in this case, but they added a $ 17.00 charge for insurance for my stay that

2nd night of 3 night stay. It's 2:52 am and for the 2nd night I have been kept up all night. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone else. It gets out of control and no one tries to calm the situation.

The Good: Bed was comfortable. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. The not so good: Room was beat up. Holes and gouges in walls and bathroom door. One chair in the room was not fit to sit on. Breakfast was subpar. Three kinds of cereal all fit for a child. Cocoa puffs, Trix and frosted flakes. Better than nothing but not by much. Chose this hotel based on low rate so didn't expect much but have stayed in other econolodges that were in better condition.

Run down. Wall heater and cooler didn't work, so they just stuck a portable heater in the room. The shower curtain rod was falling off and the water in the sink didn't work.

This little gem of a hotel saved us so much money. We booked it because of the cost not expecting much, but just needed a few hours of sleep so it didn't matter too much. However, from the front desk to check-out, I would not have known we were in a hotel that wasn't $100-up. Tasha, the check-in girl, was fantastic, very welcoming, friendly, started the visit off with good vibes. Again, not expecting too much for the price, we got to the room & again were incredibly pleasantly surprised. The place was immaculate, seemed to have been updated, the bed was very comfortable like you would expect in a higher-end place, linens felt nice. Iron, ironing board, coffee & coffee pot & refrigerator, Wi-fi, pretty much anything we could need. Ice machine in the hallway. Breakfast was packaged muffins,
