Super 8 by Wyndham Buena Vista

I stayed at Super 8 by Wyndham Buena Vista on February 13, 2026, and I’ll admit—I was a little leery after reading some of the reviews. I’m so glad I booked it anyway because we had a fabulous stay! The pool was clean, actually warm, and fully heated. The hot tub was also very clean, and the jets were perfect. We had the entire pool and hot tub to ourselves on a Friday night—which is rare! The shower had great pressure with instantly hot water. The beds were very comfortable. The mini fridge was impressively cold (just how I like it). Plenty of TV channels, and the heating/air controls were easy to adjust and worked perfectly. No bad odors whatsoever. I also appreciated that it’s only two floors—it felt quiet and easy to access. Staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, our room was not very clean. I travel with an actual service dog and instead of putting a in a traditional room we were put into a room that smells like dog pee, not impressed and not how they should handle the situation actual service dogs Are not required to be in pet friendly rooms. Unfortunately I wasn't up to fighting for a different room on my birthday would not recommend as the room was very dirty and smelled of urine. Our Keys quit working after one use and have to have them re-programmed. Our TV wasn't functioning properly and had to have help with it. Just traveling through and needed an option for an affordable and reliable hotel. From the concierge being super sweet and accommodating, the room being decent as well as being a simple upgrade (with no fee). The stay has been perfect. The rooms are average but the microwave and fridge are clean. My upgrade gave me two queen beds. And as I only used one the comfort of having many pillows was splendid. One can never have too many pillows. Along with the bathroom, came plenty of towels and the tub. After driving from Telluride to Buena Vista the tub was a lovely experience to get a nice warm soak before getting ready to drive my way to home (Denver). Positive: Location was good. Staff was helpful and kind. Negative: Furniture wasn?t wiped down. Felt dated. Not fresh feeling. Price was higher than I would pay for the level of hotel. It was a price breaker but I felt duped since it wasn?t on par with the other choices.

The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was literally the worst thing ive ever tried to sleep on. Neither of us slept much. The bed had one fuzzy blanket snd then was topped with what looked like a literal curtain, not a blanket meant for teo people the share during thr winter..... the hot tub was nice. Staff was friendly. The breakfast bar was typical for a continental breakfast, nothing amazing.
