Tomcat Ranch Guest House

We had a really fun week at the Tomcat Ranch and guest house. Mike (the owner) is a very cool guy and made sure we had everything we needed and also gave us a great tour of the entire ranch which is really beautiful. The house was comfortable and plenty spacious for our family of 4. We spent most of our time out on the ranch fishing (even our 18yr old daughter enjoyed) or exploring in and around Buena Vista which we all loved as well. Took lots of hikes and had some really good meals in town. There are 5 ponds on the ranch property, we caught (and released of course) several nice brookies. It was peaceful and quiet at the property - yet only about 15 minutes to town from the ranch. We will be back for another stay.

My family had an amazing stay at Tomcat Ranch. The property is stunning, my kids loved picking wild raspberries, catching fish, and hiking, all on private land. Mike is a wonderful host. Couldn’t recommend this more highly to families staying in the Buena Vista area.

My friends and now, fiancé, stayed at the guest house to celebrate our new engagement! We enjoyed our stay so much and found it extremely comfortable. Mike was a very friendly host. We fished the five lakes and caught & released many beautiful brookies! We had plans to go to the hot springs but it was so comfortable that we decided to stay, have a campfire, make some smores and memories. Thank you again for the stay, we will definitely be back!!

Tom Cat ranch is an amazing mountain getaway, it truly exceeded all of my expectations. You feel secluded with incredible views, yet you’re close enough to town to take in any dining or grocery store excursions. Mike is an incredible host and immediately makes you feel welcome and is wonderfully hospitable. He’s happy to take you for a tour of the ranch property or leave you be if you prefer. The fly fishing on the property ponds is great, with brookies, cutthroat and browns greedily awaiting your flies. I truly can’t say enough about Mike and his incredible ranch…if you’ve gotten this far, you may as well book it.

We had an amazing stay and Mike was an awesome host. He greeted us and took my husband around to show him the land so we could explore when we got a chance to. The place was so cozy. It felt like we were really home. The view was outstanding and we would come back for sure!
