MoonStream Vintage Campground

This place is charming with exceptionally hospitable owners. I recommend they put a sign on the gate by their house to indicate it’s the office as it’s a guessing game when you first pull in. Aesthetically they could do a little more like simply discard dead potted plants, or uproot dead plantings. But, overall it’s the humility of the place that is appealing.

I booked us a spot here last minute after we blew a tire on our Airstream and we were so elated with the entire experience! Pup friendly and a river close by, wifi and hookups, views are prime and sublime, Gwen the host is warm and welcoming, and the bathrooms onsite are maintained very nicely!! The vintage airstreams that have been converted to rentals are super charming and I love that there’s the option. We did make it to the sand dunes for a night of camping in the park but ended up coming back to MoonStream for our last night 🌙✨we loved it here and will most definitely be returning!

They have several tiny houses. Long, narrow, with a loft. Modest kitchen area with pots, pans, eating dishes & silverware Nice bathroom with shower. And all nicely appointed.

I spent four nights in my motorhome at a pull-through site that was level and had convenient hookups. This is truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. The trail leading to the river was easy to walk, with inviting spots to sit, relax, and enjoy the sounds of the creek and the surrounding nature. It’s also close to the hot springs and the charming town of Buena Vista, which is great for exploring. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and attentive. If you're visiting Buena Vista, this campground is a must!

I can’t say enough positive things about our recent 5-night stay in the Copper Moon Tiny Home! We had four adults in our group and found it incredibly comfortable—plenty of space for sleeping, and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, including a coffee maker and fridge, and the strong WiFi was a huge plus (one of our friends even took a school assessment from the Tiny Home with no issues!). MoonStream is an absolutely fantastic place to stay in Buena Vista. The views are breathtaking—truly out of this world—and the location is perfect. It’s just a few minutes’ drive into town, to the Colorado Trail for hiking, and to several hot springs resorts (we counted at least three nearby options!). If you’re into Tiny Homes or glamping, don’t hesitate to book. We’d come back
