Turtle Rock Campground

Fantastic stay. Well maintained grounds. Clean restrooms. Friendly Camp Host. Plenty of outdoor recreation: hiking, ATV, motorcyle, etc. Great walks around the camp ground with fun rock formations and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Easy access to town, local sites and supplies.

Beautiful campground and picnic area! We enjoyed learning the history of how the rocks were formed. Amazing sights and beauty all around!

One of the best FREE camping sites I've been to! Not too far from town. There is a host, so the upkeep is really good, and there are posted rules and such. Go early and pick camp spot #12 toward the back because it has a nice view of Mt. Princeton and the Arkansas River below. It is also not as close to other campsites as there is only one next to you. You're welcome!

This is a great place to stop and camp near the Arkansas river. Turtle rock has a lot of natural rock scenery around and good climbing. Sites are large and clean, with a fire pit and picnic table each. Multiple bathroom facilities. Dogs must be leashed. About 20+ locations first come first serve. The on site hosts are very welcoming and friendly.
