Super 8 by Wyndham Austin South / I-35

Made a reservation ahead of time for a 1st floor full mobility accessible handicapped room, get to the lobby and not only did they not honor my reservation saying they have no handicap accessible rooms and none on the first floor. They try to charge me for my trained service dog, 35 dollars?? You kidding?? Manager is a ghost so they can avoid accountability. (is their website a scam? Is it even connected to the motel??) not only that they DO NOT EVEN HAVE ANY HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY. The foreign staff seem not to care about American laws and ethics and reject the info when I show them the ADA.gov website and it's various laws, then the US Constitution. They literally want to violate US constitutional law and ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY. I REPEAT THEY DONT GIVE ONE TINY LITTLE CARE ABOUT YO

Positive: Nothing Negative: Could not stand the AC smell of cockroaches. Couldn’t use do to this smell.

This is a quiet place to stay. The rooms are in good condition and the beds are comfortable. The front desk staff is so helpful when I need anything Hannah is a delight at check in or check out. She is always eager to help.

I left a shirt in my room and the next day after I departed I realized it. I immediately called and the front desk girl informed me that I needed to speak with the manager, (BILL). And that he comes in only a few hours midday. I called back the following day and Bill was not there. I left my name and number with the from desk, waited a few days, no call. Called back, no Bill! Went back to the hotel a week later, midday, hoping to catch Bill there. No Bill! Left my name and number again because the girl up front said she doesn’t have the keys to the lost and found closet. If it wasn’t a shirt that my Daughter gifted me I’d chalk it up to the game and be on my way. For the next three months I attempted to call and make visits to the Super 8 hoping to find Bill. No Bill No call back either

Room was dirty, shower only had scalding hot water, breakfast was green bananas, stale muffins and diluted apple juice. Even after we requested our room be cleaned, it never got cleaned. Neighborhood was sketchy. Night staff was very helpful, morning staff was apathetic. There was literally prostitution right outside. Mexican restaurant next door is fantastic!
