Element Austin Downtown

We had an excellent stay at the Element Downtown Austin this weekend. From the moment Margaret checked us in to Bri handling checkout, every staff member we encountered was attentive, gracious, and genuinely kind, including the breakfast team. The hotel was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and everything felt thoughtfully run. Caroline’s restaurant on site was a highlight. Great schnitzel, fresh tossed salads, and our server even helped open a bottle of wine we’d purchased off site to enjoy upstairs. Valet was also incredibly helpful, even tracking down change for a friend. Truly a standout stay.

We loved staying here! It was my first time in Austin, and the hotel is close to everything. You can drive or walk to different places. The beds were super comfortable! It was also cool to have a kitchenette inside the room, with glassware, a refrigerator, microwave, and utensils that are essential to us. Service is topnotch as well.The only downside is that their walls are pretty thin. We could hear our neighbor talking and watching TV. I suggest bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, just in case!

The stay was nice, the room was nice as well. The valet parking is $45 a night which is super high! The rooms are already expensive enough. The breakfast was ok. They were short staffed but the lady making the egg and the gentleman cleaning were super nice, fast and friendly. The concierge lady was also super nice. Would I stay here again… no. Not because I didn’t like it, it was just to pricey for me. I booked last minute for my birthday weekend and this was one of the nicest looking hotels. Next time I’ll stay by the Domain location.

I came here for the thanksgiving week (Monday to Friday) and it was great. The location of the hotel is perfect and the staff is friendly and professional. Shout out to Anita and the other front desk staff! Their customer service is great and it is definitely appreciated. The guys at the entrance who brave the elements (no pun intended) to welcome us are great too! Breakfast is included which is always a plus. There is no parking, but there is a parking garage right next to the building (pro tip: use this app called SpotHero to find very cheap parking rates). We stayed on the 18th floor which had a great view. The hotel is very clean and the gym is well equipped. A great hotel experience. Juan was extremely helpful throughout the stay. He was always responsive, professional and polite... and made sure our group had everything that we needed. It's the small things that matter and make us want to return. The location was close to a lot of great restaurants and shops. All the staff was friendly. From the fitness center to the breakfast, and of course the hospitality hour... I'll definitely be back. Thank you Juan!
