Super 8 by Wyndham Austin Downtown/Capitol Area

Looks rough from the outside, but the room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable a lot more comfortable than other “budget friendly” hotels. Showers had high pressure and hot water. It was quiet and very close the moody center. This is good stay if your looking for one night because your going to be out for the most part of the night.

We arrived early and couldn't check in until 2:30 without being charged extra. I needed to use a restroom but I had to exit the building enter through a door that said electrical and the bathroom had areas on the wall that had been patched but not painted. Also, the exterior looked rough. The driveway off the access road was a little difficult to maneuver. The breakfast was a continental style breakfast that offered DIY waffles, hot or cold cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee and juice. However, the room was clean and updated. It only lacked a rack to hang your shirts on. The shower pressure was adequate. Both young men at the front desk were helpful as I needed a washcloth and he immediately went to get me one. Conveniently located in downtown. Property slightly run down on the outside. But room is in good conditions. This was a good value. Traffic can be heard at times, but I was able to sleep soundly. Staff was attentive. Amenities included the fridge microwave and continental breakfast, featuring do it yourself waffles that is the main warm dish.

This hotel looks a little rough around the edges, but delivers great service a nice room and a great location. The only thing wrong with the room was that it had some patched spots that needed to be painted. It was clean. There were no bugs and the expected amenities were present. The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful. I slept like a dead baby rock. Will definitely stay there again.
