Holiday Inn Express Venice by IHG

The morning desk agent, Cleveland, was amazing. He asked if there was anything he could do for us and we asked if he knew of any nearby parks as our children were looking for some fun. This man sat with that question, truly thought about it. Something that would not have happened back home. Then, proceeded to give us step by step directions that were to the T and easily followable. I was blown away by his dedication to customer service and friendly nature.

Comfy, clean beds and amazing shower. Great choices for breakfast, starting at 6:30; coffee 24/7 in lobby, with 1/2 & 1/2 (much nicer than in-room coffee with powdered creamer). Cleveland (at front desk) gave amazing directions and even loaned us a sifter to search for fossilized shark teeth. Nice little pool to sit with my coffee in the predawn. VERY nice overall.

Our stay was comfortable, clean and the staff was exceptional. Audrey at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and was eager to help us if we had any questions. Marie, from food service prepared a tasty breakfast for all the guests. I want you to personality commend her on the hard work she does preparing delicious breakfast items. Kudos to you Marie! This was a wonderful stay for us!

The stay was excellent and the breakfast was great. The only thing that happened to me that was bad was my fault. l left my favorite coffee mug at the front desk when I checked out or I left it at my table after breakfast. I so loved that mug but did not discover my lost until I was a couple of hours up the road.; I would be more than happy to pay for the shipping if someone discovered it and would send it to me. Just wishful thinking. other that that my stay was great.

The hotel is ok maybe just for one night stay, rooms are spacious but you can see the wear and tear everywhere, some mold in the bathrooms and the worst thing is when you are leaving the room the ac will shut down until you are back in the room , pretty inconvenient during the hot days(they said the system is set up this way and cannot be changed). We stayed for two nights and every time when we returned in our room was pretty hot. The breakfast was just ok.
