The residents here are among the coolest bunch of vets I've ever have met.

Our stay was several years ago but after reading reviews of other hotels and seeing Scottish Inns relatively high rating because only one other person gave it a review, I felt I must write. ||This is a hotel that should be knocked down! Because it was a football weekend at UF, there was a 2-night minimum and a fairly high room rate. Apparently the 2-night minimum only applied to people who were stupid enough to book ahead. Right before us was a young "lady" paying for a 2 hour stay with single dollar bills. That should have given us our first clue but we arrived very late, Gainesville was filled to capacity and we had no choice. went to visit a family member. that stays close to the hotel and attend graduation , nothing on the web site is accurate , there is no onsite restaurant, no baby sitting (unless the housekeeper counts ) no swimming pool , well there is one but its empty , has been for years . place has potential , but seriously mis managed , day time management is acceptable for the most part , night time however .. there is none, well in body i should say he does exist i am told .. i sat waiting to get in my room 2 hours because the key that was made for me didnt work .. and seems no one knows how to make them except daytime management and night guy , apparently has better things to do than attend to the guest . but kept saying computer was down . the night guy ... anthony , has a good gig , he h

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Scottish Inns in Gainesville for one week. It was the worst week of our lives, unfourtunately we didn't leave. The only reason we stayed was because it was within walking distance of the Publix and the bank. It was so dirty, we wore shoes in the shower, we never let our naked feet touch the carpet, the sheets on our beds were never changed, and the ceiling was bowing out. When we looked in the drawers, we found a small baggie with tiny flakes of marijuana, and a lighter. Every morning, the maid/manager, who never wore shoes, came to our door with a Publix shopping cart with room supplies--the towels and wash cloths looked like someone worked on a car with them, we used socks as wash cloths. This is the worst hotel I have ever been in.The owner is very rude.They have bed bugs that are feasting on your body while you sleep.You can literally see the bugs in the bed.I didn't notice it u til I woke up.I also broke out in a serious bad rash from the bugs.The sheets had mildew on them and when you turn on the faucet the water ran brown for at least 10mins.When me and my mother told the owner about the bugs,his only response was we'll look at it and he doesn't know.NEVER EVER RENT A ROOM FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER TO THESE BUGS.The owner did not even try to accommodate us nor was he pleasant about the situation.He also got slick out the mouth with me while I was speaking to my mom and not him.
