Suburban Studios Altoona

My partner and I have been staying here for a couple of weeks now. The staff is phenomenal, the housekeeping is fabulous, the safety and security of the hotel has been very much a big priority of theirs. They are very pet friendly, accommodate in so many ways, breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean and much better than most hotels we have stayed at. The warmth of a welcoming environment by the owner, staff, and pleasantries really have made us have a pleasant experience. Highly recommend to out of town folks on travels.

The hotel accommodations were great. We had a great room, with a HUGE television, nice bed, even a coffee pot (a keurig!) and breakfast! The entire staff, including the front desk’s Nick and Catherine (???) they were terrific, extremely helpful. We Will Be Back. Thank you very much! William and Abbe Hann

Positive: The room was set up like an efficiency suite with large fridge and table top stove. The barn door added extra privacy from the front door. Negative: The mattress was sagging on the one side. Needs a new mattress

Be warned: those who reside within 40 miles of the hotel are not allowed to stay with their visiting family members from out of town. Owner policy due to the past transgressions of some other person, and we all suffer. We just wanted a nice place to stay together with a free breakfast since my house is being renovated, and didn't find out until he checked in. He came from Florida, and I'm just one person.

Reasonable fine, nonfancy motel in a good location. Staff were all friendly. Downsides were being in an adjoining room so we could hear everything the neighboring room did, including up all night yelling. And the full kitchen had nothing in it so it was useless. Most hotels at least have the option to borrow equipment.
