Sleep Inn & Suites Altoona North

Hello, I am a guest who recently stayed at your property for one night. I am writing not out of emotion, but to raise a concern about the operational handling of the situation based on facts. 1. I was initially assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Within approximately one hour, multiple stink bugs appeared in the room. 2. When I went to the lobby, I learned that the issue was already known and that a notice regarding stink bugs had been posted. 3. I was then moved to a room on the 2nd floor, where the same issue occurred again, and was subsequently reassigned to a room on the 1st floor. 4. I was informed by staff that stink bugs tend to prefer higher floors and areas near windows, and that complaints from the 1st floor were relatively less frequent. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Jen and Carrie at the front desk answered all questions and promptly took care of any needs when requested. Katie from housekeeping was also very kind and polite, always willing to assist when she could and tending to any housekeeping needs during our stay.

Great hotel location for the Penn State football game! The hotel was clean and the room was good - affordable option for the game weekend! The reason for "only" 4 stars was the breakfast was a little lacking.....no hot options (eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc) and no juice or soda machines. All in all though, enjoyed the stay and location!!

This location seems to be a rather recent switch to the Sleep Inn brand, and one shouldn't expect Sleep Inn quality. As the big sign out front attests, this used to be a Days Inn and most of the room decor still seems to be from that era. The showers in Sleep Inn's are usually a high point, the ones here are basically functional and your standard cheap hotel tub + slightly upgraded curved shower curtain rod. The temperature doesn't really get "hot" though at least after about five minutes you can get up to "nicely warm." It wasn't a miserable experience by any means, but not up to the usual Sleep Inn quality.

This place is CLEAN! We moved the furniture and still no dirt. Super friendly from beginning to end. The breakfast was better than expected and varied from day to day. Cereal, yogurt, bagels,toast, eggs and sausage or bacon with waffles. We were there for 4 days, Sunday til check out on Thursday. Although there is a very nice restaurant, Marzonni's, less than a mile away, we enjoyed the grill and patio! Great meat market in Tyrone. Can't recommend this place enough. It is pet friendly with a reasonable fee. Can't wait to go again!
