Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Altoona

The previous reviewers are absolutely correct—this hotel is impeccably clean throughout, from the welcoming lobby and dining area to the guest rooms and every common space. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding, with the kitchen staff doing an excellent job offering a wide and appealing variety of options for guests. The property also features ample parking spread across the grounds, and its location right near the main highway makes access incredibly convenient. If you're looking for a spotless, comfortable stay at a very reasonable price, this is the place to choose.

Our second time visiting this hotel, and both times it has met our needs, and is reasonably priced, and in a good location for our traveling destinations. Pros- Workout room is great, the shower pressure was wonderful, and had a quiet and comfortable room (except for the guests at 1:30AM that I had to ask to please be quiet in the hallway who were talking/yelling loudly to one another, and thankfully they were polite and stopped). The front desk was very friendly, and enjoyed the hot coffee and tea available at all hours. Cons- place was cleaner our first visit a year ago, was a little wear and tear in areas, and no breakfast waffles?! breakfast seemed very limited compared to my usual Fairfield Inn stays.

The room is spacious and clean. There is laundry room at ground floor where you can get the token and detergent from the front desk, which is convenient for long stay. Only comment is the breakfast variety. I hope the menu can change a little bit every three days. For long stay traveller this could be something in concern.

Staff is fantastic, very friendly and helpful. It's refreshing in this day and age to have staff as friendly as these people were. From the front desk to housekeeping, every single person acknowledged me. Rooms were clean and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.

Upon entering, the hotel was really busy for a Sunday night. The man at the front desk was so welcoming, kind and hospitable to everyone in line. He treated me like a queen! He really enjoyed his job, offered me a water and told me all the high points of the hotel. The lobby and hotel is beautiful and spacious. I stayed here on a work trip and my room was quite small but it was comfortable and perfect for one night. The bed and pillows were also incredibly comfortable as well. The air conditioning unit was loud and probably in need of a repair which was pretty disruptive to my sleep. My biggest complaint is that the walls are super thin! I had a family staying next door to me and could hear them all night long- they had adjoining rooms and were constantly in and out, banging the doors,
