Quality Inn & Suites Altoona

This is the third year we have stayed at this Quality Inn and each visit has been a pleasure. The rooms are clean, even the window sills and curtains. Their is carpet in the bedroom that extends to the sink that is outside of the bathroom. Since we stay here to work long days, having the sink separate from the main bath is helpful. There is a door that slides so if you are getting ready and the others in the room are still sleeping you can pull the door shut. In addition, the TV is large. When ours did not work the desk clerk came up immediately and had the knowledge to fix it. The hot water is immediate, no need to wait for it. Upon arrival Saturday 10/11 around 4pm I got my keycards from a man who I didn't get the name of. He was very very nice, very polite. He is a great front desk worker. In fact, I thought all of your staff were fantastic. My overall stay was nice. It's located in a convenient area, and I thought the breakfast was good. The person working the breakfast area Sunday 10/12 was very fast and effective, she seemed like a hard worker. I think my biggest gripe, and why I wouldn't rate this 10/10 is that this was THE most outdated Choices hotel I've ever stayed at. Charging $198 for an outdated hotel even on the weekend is outrageous! Totally totally not worth that kind of money. If you're going to charge that, you need to update your rooms, your hallways, your lighting. My room 176 smelt like cigare

In general a very good motel room experience clean, with heat & other amenities working well. Breakfast was very good with fresh waffles & staff was very helpful. Front desk provided assistance to turn on the TV so I could check winter weather report. I appreciated the front desk help to check on the rate for the motel room with rates increasing in the area.

This hotel is very tired. The rooms are dark and marginally clean at best. My sink would not drain properly and there are loose tiles in the floor of the bathroom. Part of the breakfast was just packaged vending machine Hostess cakes removed from their packaging.
