Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center

came here for work function. have no idea why i chose this place, but i would never stay here again. on paper it seemed to have everything i wanted. the room was huge - had a king mini-suite - all that means is there was a ton of room. 2 tvs, couch, desk, all in one open space. the hotel is very old, and although there are signs that they are rehabbing it, looks like they've been rehabbing since 1980. the layout of the hotel is so strange - the wings / halls don't connect to each other. the room numbers are even weirder - - room 531 is on the 3rd floor, there's no rhyme or reason to room numbers. the first floor as you maybe walk to your room - the whole center of the courtyard is so weird. . . like gazebos with banquet tables and seating areas. there are rooms that have patios that loo

Years ago this was a beautiful well maintained hotel. After coming back say 15 years later, without question I could tell ownership had changed. Though my room was clean, it was outdated and not well kept (water damaged ceiling, dirty lights, bathroom tiles I could lift up out of the floor). They also just hosted a rave party, not the crowd I would bring kids around to say the least. I also found it inappropriate that house keeping left an envelope asking for tips. This facility has a lot of potential for young families but is just not well maintained to make it feel like a nice family hotel, especially for the price.

Location was great. The room was okay it was comfortable. The sink did not drain well and there was a huge bug on the ceiling. It would of been nice to have been a bit closer to the lobby as we were kinda a hike away

Do not stay here! It was a room to sleep in and barely serviceable for that purpose - thankfully that was all we were looking for. I was here for a conference about 30 years ago and remembered it being a nice place, if not five star. I thought it would be ok for a one night overnight during a move. It sadly was not. I guess there is a new owner that bought during COVID and is having difficulty getting the place updated. I really hope they get there, but the place should be shut down in its current state. The hotel was almost empty when we arrived - about 10 or 15 cars in the parking lot. The woman who checked us in was very nice, and was almost apologetic about the condition of the hotel. A little bit musty, but well worth a visit. They need a little love, but this is an awesome place to host an event. Car club cruise, retro flea market, reunion; book here. Great location and great bones. Keep in mind this isn't a newly built modular hotel, this is a legit vintage complex. Some people's allergies can be triggered during the winter when the envelope is closed, but a summer cruise has more airflow.
