Studio 6 Opelika, AL - Auburn Al

This was a great place to stop for 2 nights. The location is safe and relaxed. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The motel was very clean, the room, bed and bathroom were comfortable, and the amenities: television, refrigerator, microwave, and air conditioner were all in good working order. There are plenty of things to do with restaurants and shopping centers nearby. The Grille Restaurant is within the Motel 6 parking lot, and we had a ton of good food for breakfast at a very reasonable price. Definitely I would recommend this motel to others, and I would absolutely stay at the Opelika Motel 6 whenever in Opelika.

2 things worth mentioning before my review- I did attempt to talk to the manager multiple times but she never called me back, and I DID accept a discounted rate for the room not having a microwave and fridge - but that was the least of the issue with my stay. Long story short- I would NEVER stay here. I do NOT recommend, even if you’re desperate. I booked this room last minute because we didn’t want to drive home after a football game. I walked into the lobby and no one was there. I waited for about 10 minutes and then called, and someone came to give me my key. He was nice, so there’s my positive statement. He let me know the room had just been “renovated” so it did not have a microwave or fridge yet. I said that’s fine because we didn’t need one anyway. We walked into the room and my ja

Positive: Desk staff Negative: Bugs in the fridge, no housecleaning for 2 days, pool closed , fitness room closed, business room closed, laundry machine not working hallway closed off with yellow tape as air conditioning unit was hanging off the wall, abandoned cars in parking lot,

We stayed here for two nights. First of all, the room actually did look fairly clean. In reality, the floors were filthy. I don’t think they had been mopped in years – literally. Since we always carry cleaning products with us for this purpose, I cleaned the bathtub and the sink and the sink in the kitchen, since we were using the kitchen in a limited way. There were no plates cups glasses no silverware of any kind in the room. When asked about it the management made a note but nothing ever happened as far as getting us what we needed for utensils. We ended up buying plastic at Walmart. I would check for bedbugs. We didn’t find any in our room but that doesn’t mean they’re not there. There are some very disreputable looking residents at this hotel. We smelled marijuana smoke in the hallway

It was a great stay around every thing you need food, shopping you name it was there.
