Staybridge Suites Tampa East- Brandon by IHG

We stayed at Staybridge Suites Tampa on February 11 while attending the Florida State Fair and to try the Staybridge brand for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Two days before arrival we called the hotel to confirm the hot tub was working, as this is an important amenity for us. We were told it was operational. After check-in we went directly to use it before heading to the fair, only to find it completely cold with no signage posted. When we asked the front desk, we were told the heater was not working. Later that evening after returning from the fair, the air conditioning unit in our room could not be adjusted and left the room extremely cold. The staff is all extremely helpful and friendly. They have each gone out of their way to make sure we have everything we want or need. Such a pleasant stay!||We have a vegetarian daughter and Terri was very helpful and always had a big smile and a friendly attitude as she accommodated our needs. She made us feel like family! We start work very early and she had a great disposition even a hour before they were open for breakfast. ||The folks at the desk had warm cookies and hot popcorn and pleasant greetings. And the Monday - Wednesday social hour appetizers were tasty too.||Our room was good too. They are very pet friendly!

We had a very relaxing stay, the staff is very friendly and helpful, everyone works really hard to keep guests happy. The beds are very comfortable, linens clean. We do wish the carpet would be changed out and sofas too. Housekeeping is great though, very attentive.The foyer and food area is always very clean. Great breakfast, as vegans , we had lots of options and fresh fruit. Very pleased.Thank you for Miss Delores and the breakfast staff for providing such tasty food and preparing veggie patties. Miss Holly at night is very helpful and kind, we enjoyed the beer/wine and snacks.And we would also like to thank you the front staff, specially Miss Itseh, who makes everyone feel at home and is always smiling and ready to help. Not good for a Two bedroom Suite. Had no water pressure in the shower in one room, yet sink has plenty of pressure. Stand pipe on the floor reads 55 psi. So plenty of pressure. Had the shower head changed,it was clogged. Better, but still not good. Old TV's and just shotty repairs. Also, Hot Tub was not working! The list just goes on and on!

The overall stay wasn't bad. We had a 2 bedroom suite and that was perfect size for our party. The breakfast left much to be desired. However Traci was AMAZING at the dining service!!! So her wonderful demeanor helped the lack of taste in food. One of the other main reasons we stayed there was for the pool and hot tub. WELL, the pool was cold and filthy, so we did not even get in it. The hot tub did not even work. This was not noted in their listing and it was not a brand new issue. That was really irritating. But the rest of the stay was good. Candace at the front desk was really awesome too!
