Staybridge Suites Rockford, an IHG Hotel

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at the Staybridge Inn and Suites in Rockford. My family and I are going through a difficult time while relocating, and staying here has truly made everything easier. From the very beginning, every single staff member has been kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They always greet us with a smile, and it feels like they genuinely care. The hotel itself is wonderful. The free breakfast is great and always fresh. The laundry area is clean and convenient, and the pool is a huge plus. Our room has a full kitchen, plenty of space, and feels like a small apartment — which has been perfect during this transition. A special shoutout to the manager, Shuntae who is absolutely amazing. The good: Nice big rooms, some with a separate living room, at an affordable rate. Nice breakfast. Convenient location. Responsive staff. Clean rooms. The not so good: Hallways have a weird armpit smell. Gym has two treadmills one of which is broken. Beds seem quite old. Very few plugs- like, guys, most hotels have lamps that feature chargers and sockets in them now! But the worst is the stupid key cards. We had to get approximately 8 key cards replaced because they got demagnetized. Over a two night stay! They were not near wallet, phone, keys (god forbid). Just... stopped working. They won't tell you about this in advance, so bring some sort of protective sleeve for your card or prepare to get locked out, like, a lot. Good waffles, though.

This was my first stay here for a 2-day work trip. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I was treated so warmly by staff that I felt like I was in a home away from home. My room was very large and everything was in good condition with no issues. I enjoyed having a laundry basket and access to free laundry machines, and the detergent was pretty affordable in my opinion. The breakfast was DELICIOUS, and although I was unable to attend the evening reception meals Tuesday and Wednesday, the food they were offering sounded great. Super safe feeling area extremely close to tons of restaurants, coffee shops, planet fitness, gas stations, and catch-all stores like Walmart and Target. Highly recommend, I will definitely use the heated pool next time as I was unable to use it during my stay due

I must admit, im impressed with Staybridge Suites. I'm a traveling Dr and I stay at many hotels and I may stay for weeks. I've stayed with Staybridge before, but it seemed old and in poor repair. This visit, they put me in a newly renovated room. The paint was fresh, the carpets new and everything is very clean. The maidstaff has kept it very clean and well stocked too. It has become my favorite box hotel in the Rockford area

It was nice. The suite was spacious. The bed was a bit lower than what I'm used to. The mattress is close to needing to be replaced. The self serve breakfast buffet was also nice. My stay was too short to enjoy their other amenities. The staff was friendly but a bit standoffish.
