SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty International Airport

Positive: Super friendly staff, great actual room (not 5 stars, but definitely better than expected for a hotel airport) Negative: The wifi was very slow, and it was nearly impossible to work remotely. My zoom kept quitting unexpectedly during calls due to wifi disconnects.

I booked a group for a 1 night stay here and couldn’t have had a better experience from beginning to end. Group said the breakfast was great. Rooms were clean. I worked with Oscar to establish the group and he was fantastic to deal with - responsive after hours during a snow storm, understanding, and a good eye for detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to book a group again here!

If you, like me, are mainly deciding whether to book this airport hotel Vs the others based on the pool/jacuzzi situation, look no further. -Jacuzzi: small, but genuinely warm as you'd expect a jacuzzi to be. if you're not there alone you may be turned off from using it by having to share, given how small it is. But I never saw anyone else using the pool/jacuzzi while I was there. -Pool: Warm-ish. Certainly not a 100%, I can get right in quickly and be comfortable, but not prohibitively cold. And I say this as someone quite sensitive to cold water. The stone at the bottom for the pool is a bit browned from age which doesn't look super great...but from what I could tell it was perfectly clean, just an age issue. -note, there is NO steam room/sauna. Pool and small jacuzzi only. Other not

We slept here the night before our flight and the night of our return after leaving our car for three weeks. Everything went well. The parking behind the hotel seems very secure. The suite was nice and the shuttle ran on the posted schedule. No phone call was necessary upon the return as the shuttle arrives every half hour. We were not able to take advantage of the free breakfast as it did not fit with our travel times. However, we appreciated the 24 hour free coffee in the lobby.

This place is a dump. Old, outdated, smelly, uncomfortable beds, dirty bathrooms. The shuttle from the airport is a clapped out beater of a van that should not be street legal. Smells of exhaust inside. Driver thinks he’s a F1 driver, way too fast on snowy and wet roads. Someone must’ve grilled plastic on the iron in the room. Found out the hard way after ruining a white dress shirt. I’ve stayed here a few times and always the same disappointment. I’ve learned my lesson, will be staying at the Courtyard or Airport Marriott from now on.
