Capsule & Pod Hotel | NYC

It's a terrible hotel, if you want to be disgraced with your money, you can stay there. We found out at 11 pm that the hotel I booked for 3 days had a check-in permit at 12 am.They send mail at this time and we did not even know that, and because our bus was delayed, our stay was cancelled, and we also lost our money. They didn't even accept our offer to stay for the other days, let alone pay for one day, and as a result, they took all our money. Absolutely, the owner and staff of this place are fraudulent, ruthless and characterless people. I would never, ever recommend it.

So the owner wants to know why I gave this place 1 star after he was so nice to me. Well, I had to ask to be moved several times because everywhere was EXTREMELY loud. I asked him when quiet hours were. He said 11 to 8. I told him about the very loud noises from guests in the kitchen and he said he couldn't do anything about it....even though he IS the owner of the place. There is hair ALL over the bathroom floor. The sinks are clogged. The beds are very hard. Some beds have bed bug covers that crinkle everytime you move. Its very hot in your pod. Don't be taller than 5 foot or you will be sleeping curled up. The pod had little ventilation and was warm. The pod was very noisy due to tenant above ne making lots of noise. There is a kitchen but it's not available to use. Tiny refrigerator for all guests. If you want to do laundry you have to pay $5 for a small bag. It's cheap. That's all I can say about it.

False advertising, No cooking facilities, no kitchen utensils or working appliances, no top bed sheet, no bag storage, no front desk, & no use of hostel common area after checkout time despite being advertised as a hostel. The owner was unaccommodating when asked about the kitchen (I moved from a Philly hostel with refrigerated food to cook). Ultimately the owner refused to speak and phoned the police who arrived as I was sat on the steps outside working out my flight info. The police arrived, and then with a smug smile he had the audacity to say 'screw you'. Do not stay here if you want to cook food. Very rude, unprofessional owner (he lives upstairs) with a lack of responsibility to truthfully advertise on hostel world.

The owner was extremely hostile and rude, speaking to me as if I was a child, he let some people check in early for free, however he charged me for it. He refused to even let me leave my suitcase in the living room area instead of checking in, essentially forcing me to pay the fee. Then when I was leaving one of my fellow people at the hostel allowed me to leave my suitcase in their room, however when I went back to collect it, he screamed at me for re-entering the property and threatened to call the police. Its a shame because the property itself is nice and not far from the train and well priced, shame about the owner being rude
