New York Homestay

Just 15 min train ride to new york Penn station. Also close to ewr airport.||Great ppl. Comfortable stay. Made my trip easy on my budget. Since a hotel in the city could be expensive. We decided to stay at this guest house. The kitchen was a plus. We were able to prepare breakfast and some light meals. The train station is at few steps from the house. Coming back in the middle of the night was not an issue. We are coming back with friends. Also the property manager gave us useful information. He is very friendly.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. A 15 minute walk gets you to the PATH station and then only a few minutes into NYC and all there is to see. The rooms are as others have said... funky decor.... but very clean. No decorating since the 1980's but who cares.... you are in New York. And... the owner's & staff's charm more than make up for the decor. Lonnie, the owner, was very helpful and gave us lots of tips on how to get from place A to B, picked us up at the Newark airport and much more. Thank you Lonnie & family for a remarkable holiday.... I LOVED IT, EVERYTHING. THE STAFF IS ATTENTIVE AND SENSITIVELY RESPONSE. WI-FI CATCHES IN THE ROOM, EVERYTHING IS CLEAN AND COZY. HOW THE TOP-LEVEL HOTELS HAVE THREE TOWELS, SINCE WE LIVED TOGETHER, THEY WERE HERE THEY BROUGHT A COMPLETE SET OF SOAP ACCESSORIES AND TOWELS! I ADVISE

I stayed here for 9 days in March to visit New York City. I think this was an awesome place to stay!||||This is kind of a cross between a bed & breakfast and a vacation rental. The owners meet you at the beginning of your stay, and come back every day or two to tidy up the place. They will give you breakfast, but it's an extra fee. That's about all you see of them, and so it's much closer to a vacation rental in that way. But it's not a bad thing - seeing as how many people seem to be there to have a convenient way to see New York City, and are just looking for a place to stay. ||||The value of this place is outstanding. I stayed there by myself the whole time with the run of the house, and paid around half of what some of the most basic hostels and hotels in New York were charging. I call

My boyfriend and i stayed here on our trip to america in june 2014. This little hostel was almost perfect. Cute decor and the owner was very helpful. Had everything we needed and great location for transport into new york. The only negative was that it was very warm and aircon wasn't the greatest.
