Best Western Plus Newark Airport West

This hotel is hard to rate because it was clean and apparently that’s hard to find. But the parking is an absolute crap show, if you actually find the hotel. The rooms are roomie and spacious the bathroom is TINY……. No I really mean TINY like I’m 5ft5 125lbs and I could only stand in front of the door hitting the toilet to try to get dressed. If you have children and need a bathtub they have taken the water faucets off and the water flows only through the shower head. They have removed bathtub plugs but you could stop it up with a wash cloth but again they’ve made the use of the bathtub null. They have a fake Starbucks inside and they will sell you a 4 dollar cup of hotel coffee that they serve you black and then you’re more than welcome to add the fake pump creamer and packet sugar. Booked a day room while waiting for a night flight. Large room. Slight smell of smoke. A bit rundown. Great view of New York sky line. Bar opened at 4.30pm. Reception and corridors a bit grim. Renovations going on. Free shuttle bus to P4 somewhat irregular. This hotel served the purpose but wouldn't return.

Positive: "" Negative: It took 20 minutes to check in because there was no one behind the front desk, then a parking fee for $16 is ridiculous.

Great little hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable, and not so fancy you feel like you wasted money for a one night stay at the airport. The staff was very kind and accommodating, also. Will definitely use them again.

I wasn't overly impressed here. I thought the manager on-site reveled in having ways to charge me more. The location is really good. 4 minutes to the airport on the way in. It is closer to 15 minutes on the way back, which i find less important. Overalls, the rooms are mediocre. The management team needs serious customer service training. If you are going for the parking there are cheaper places with better service. Overall, I would rather die than stay here again.
