Comfort Suites Newark - Harrison

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was in a perfect location for travel into the city. The room was comfortable and clean. The hallways were quiet at night. It is definitely a hotel that accommodates out of town workers - they are up and gone early. This also made the entire hotel quiet and peaceful.

Edit after our second night! The hotel allows people to run through the halls at all hours of the night. There are people who much love there and have no respect for anyone else. They talk incredibly loud in their rooms -and very thin walls - and wander the halls. If you value your sleep, DO NOT stay here! The bathrooms need an update, but it's survicable. The end is clean and comfy. Breakfast is typical boring. Convenient to Prudential Center, Sports Illustrated arena, Lincoln Tunnel

We had to attend a weeding in NJ and I stayed at this location for 4 nights with wife and kids. Room was spacious and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was better that I see some other compatible hotels. We also visited Times Square area to see Holiday Lights and it was less than 30 mins away (without any traffic). |Parking lot looked safe, there is $11 charge for parking per day.

Absolutely avoid!!! Booked two rooms on hotels.com and when we arrived at the property, the front desk attendant told us that even though the money was taken out of my account with proof shown and then taking a picture of my phone on his own phone, informed us we would need to pay an additional $400. The said its going to be charged anyway. There are many other hotels in the area and I would personally recommend the Hampton Inn in Harrison only a couple minutes away. I hope this establishment closes its doors for good and never sees another dollar from anyone. Also you need to pay for parking and the staff was nowhere near helpful. Dont waste your time or hard earned money at this property.

The front desk staff (a young black woman) was excellent - she's a 10! The room itself was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the room was very spacious, and the bathroom had more towels and face clothes than needed - room was a 10 as well. However, the breakfast was dismal - extremely limited selections and the sausage was served cold - the buffet gets a 5.
