SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kansas City Overland Park

Not a bad property, but doesn't fit the bill for what Springhill Suites usually are, this one is a bit dated and only has a single elevator that takes forever and you're better off taking the stairs. Staff is very nice at this hotel, which is a plus. Jeremy checked me in and was very pleasant. I'm a Titanium Elite member and stay well over 150 nights a year with various Marriott properties, and don't usually leave reviews unless it's amazing or of concern. The majority of my stays are good and don't warrant reviews. I just checked in today and can definitely say this will be the first and last time I stay here. Not a bad property but feels more like a Quality Inn or something of lower tier. Mattress in my room is also very worn in and squeaky. Hotel is in a good location right off the road

Overall, the stay was pleasant and the room was pretty spacious, even if the layout was a bit weird. They seemed to put more effort into the non-sleeping areas—the desk, sitting area, microwave, and mini-fridge were all really nice and convenient.||The TV is mainly set up for the sitting area, so it’s kind of tricky to watch from the bed, though you can swivel it toward the bed if you want. The full-length mirror is right across from the bed, which feels a little odd, and the bed faces the bathroom area, which isn’t the best design for privacy.||That said, the bed was comfy, and once you get used to the quirky layout, the room works fine for a relaxing stay.

Positive: Rooms are modern and updated. Negative: Room walls and door are incredibly thin, can hear everything in the hallways. The only elevator is very small, very slow and very old. Lobby area is very loud, lots of drunk people.

I am an over the road truck driver and when I am in town I always stay here. The workers are so nice and friendly. Sarah and Danny are the front desk workers that I see first. I usually show up early in the morning so they both always have a smile on their face. They show no stress as they handle checking me in and other customers. The CLC checkin process can take awhile but they always handle everything like they are experts at this. They always make me feel welcome and wanted. Veronica in the breakfast area is super sweet and nice. She is always working hard and is always asking if I need anything with a smile on her face. These workers are the reason I stay here. Thank you for the great service and the great workers!

Large sized rooms that are great when traveling with a pet, dog. Location allows you to walk to several restaurants. You can easily walk over to Target should you forget anything on your trip.
