Sonesta Essential Hotels Overland Park

We planned an overnight stay here with our two dogs on a long-distance drive and it was fantastic! Staff was kind and helpful, easy check-in, very dog-friendly (we’d requested a first-floor room to easily take them outside) and the room was quite spacious. We enjoyed the hot breakfast and the make-your-own yogurt bowls in the morning!

Positive: Very clean, quiet and a good price! We appreciated the laundry. Negative: Drainage in the sink was a bit slow

We had a good experience here. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. Good water pressure in shower. Sturdy toilet seat (in some hotels you slip right off those suckers). Free breakfast had several choices but was typical hotel food in quality. Coffee was extra good though. It’s not super fancy but it is clean and well maintained. Asked for a first floor room and got it which rarely happens when we travel. Free parking. Easy to get to. Check-in and check out waa effortless.

This was a nice hotel, easy to get to. Our room was on the fourth floor just around the corner from the elevator, ice machine, and laundry, but we didn't have a noise issue in the room. Water pressure was very good, making for a strong shower. Room amenities were good, and the bed was very comfortable.

I like the location because there is a lot to do here and it has things you can do if you’re bored. The hotel is nice and is a good area to hang out. It’s was really nice and would recommend. We also had help from Chandu, who had great customer service.
