SpringHill Suites by Marriott Gainesville

Overall the experience with this hotel falls far shorter than expected since I am a loyal Marriott guest. The tv didn’t work at all at first then the reception was so poor the tv would turn itself off. The WiFi in the hotel was less than basic. |The bathroom had zero ventilation and obvious mold that had been painted over. Our family of 4 stayed and we were given 3 towels in the room. I asked for more and got them. It was just not a great experience.

The service was good but the rooms were lacking. The fridges lacked a proper freezer and had a tendency to freeze over. My first room also had a wet stain in the ceiling and the carpet felt moist at times (despite changing rooms and playing with the AC). However, the reception was open to changing my room and was really nice and accommodating. The hotel itself was not very sound proof, so bring ear plugs. The breakfast and the breakfast & cleaning staff was absolutely amazing though. They were very welcoming and friendly and created a cozy atmosphere. I recommend going outside the hotel in the back to watch the turtles in the pond.

I have rarely, if ever, felt so genuinely taken care of in a hotel the way your team cared for my girlfriend and me. From the moment we arrived, every interaction felt thoughtful, personal, and kind. A special shoutout to Alicia, who went above and beyond by putting together a beautiful card for my girlfriend when she learned it was her birthday. Ms. Red deserves recognition as well for her wonderful sass and incredible attentiveness during breakfast, she truly made our mornings brighter. And Laura was absolutely amazing, being kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs from the moment we walked in. Thank you all for creating such a welcoming and memorable experience. We

Positive: Most staff were friendly and were awesome. Breakfast was ok. Negative: Mold and mildew above bathroom door inside the bathing area was biggest offense. Pool was not clean/filtered correctly.

Outstanding stay at Marriott with spacious, clean rooms and excellent service. The staff was professional and welcoming throughout. Comfortable beds, great amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere made the experience truly enjoyable. Perfect for both business and leisure travel.
