Southern Lodge & Suites

Clean, Renovated, and Well-Managed Stayed at Southern Lodge & Suites and had a very good experience. The property is recently renovated and well-maintained. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was in good working order. The front desk staff was polite and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth. A solid option for a short stay.

Normally I would rate this as a probably 3 or possibly 4 stars. I had a chance to meet the owner and we had such an interesting conversation about the hospitality industry that he really changed my outlook. I appreciate him taking his time to explain his point of view about everything. I would highly recommend this place and if you get the chance to talk talk with Mr Patel, I would urge you to do so. The room was clean and neat, they have truck parking and a unique breakfast.

Stayed here recently and it’s a decent spot for hotel. The place has been renovated, so it feels fresher than expected, and everything was kept clean during my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience better. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Paid for an upgraded room with garden tub, jets. Nope , they said they were working on the tubs?!? Wyf. If u charge me 40 ztra for something and I don't get it , esp when u knew it didn't work, isn't that theft?

So, we, my husband, service dog and myself checked in around 1am. Note that I mentioned service dog. The clerk at the desk told me the room rate and added $25 for my pet. Wait, what?? She's not a pet. She's a working dog. Nope. Still charged me and told me to see the manager in the morning and if I had a problem with that but I can find a different hotel. Maybe it was then that I should have. The room itself was very comfortable and clean despite the motels age. Next morning, I call the front desk to see if we cold get a late check out. No more than an hour. No. No way. Absolutely not. 11am and not a minute later. Yikes. .. so we pack out and I go to the front desk to see about refunding the $25 for my pet.
