South Congress Hotel

The South Congress Hotel was once one of our favorite spots. Now I'm not sure we'll be back. My husband and I did a staycation honeymoon at the South Congress Hotel and ever since then it's been our first and last stop on South Congress when we get the rare date night. We loved the convenient garage parking and popping in for a drink and reminiscing about our fun mini moon before heading out to dinner reservations. Then before heading home, doing the same and spending some downtime at the lobby bar before heading home. Our experience this Saturday couldn't be further from what we've previously enjoyed. The hotel is absolutely fantastic as well as the bar. Also this couch is literally the best couch in the world. Only reason I’m posting this 1 star is because as a Tesla owner when you pull it up on the charging map in the car you don’t realize you’re gonna be charged $48 for parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful though.

Unique room divider made the large room very functional. (Sitting area one side. Bed on the other.) Loved the beautiful hardwood floors and Brass bathroom fixtures. Bed was extremely comfortable. However the low-sloped chairs were not. Suggest swapping out one of the low chairs for a standard upright chair to give guests an option. Sadly, no in-room coffee. As this is a standard in most hotels, it can make a difference in which hotel guests select. Great Location convenient to many restaurants. So it would be helpful to have a mini fridge to fit our leftovers in. However, the fridge was pre-filled with drinks, completely unusable. Since we were told the hotel has no rooms with 2 beds, it would make a lot of sense to swap out the existing sofa for a sleeper sofa. While the room style w

We spent an extended weekend here and could not have been happier with our choice of hotels. This small-ish property is nearly always buzzing with activity. Our second floor room was spacious and featured a patio adjacent to the pool. The staff kept our room spotless during our stay. Our second floor location was quiet and the linens soft and plush. We opted for in-room coffee service, though free coffee is avaialble in the lobby daily. The lobby bar is not to be missed. Ashley and her co-workers are friendly and knowledgeable and fun to be around. They can whip up just about any cocktail you can think of from the fully stocked bar.

South Congress Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and sleek while still being warm and inviting. Everyone we worked with, from Erin and Lexi on the events team, to the front desk staff, to our bartenders and servers, were super friendly, attentive, and awesome to work with. The indoor reception space is the perfect neutral backdrop for whatever your heart desires as a wedding couple, and the outdoor courtyard space is beautiful. Having delicious food for our guests was super important to us, and everyone at SCH was so accommodating in making sure we got that, even offering us multiple tastings to ensure we got the perfect meals for our guests.
