Sonesta Simply Suites Jersey City

Location is solid—Jersey City financial district, short walk to PATH trains (quick to WTC/Manhattan), ferries to Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, and nearby eats/shops. Great budget alternative to Manhattan with city views. Rooms were spacious suites with full kitchenette (fridge, stove, microwave—perfect for meals), comfy beds, clean, and modern feel. Good for longer stays. Service was outstanding—super friendly staff, quick check-in, attentive throughout. Pet-friendly and great value—would definitely stay again for NYC trips! 4 stars.

After we were forced to leave an airbnb due to a sudden bug infestation, we showed up here at 6am without reservations. However, George at the front desk was incredibly helpful and nice, and got us squared away immediately. Lorenzo made sure we were able to get into our rooms straight away. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, and nice rooms as well. Highly reccomend!

I’ve been using Sonesta services for several years, and this is the first time I’ve had such a disappointing experience. When I made my reservation, nowhere during the booking process did it clearly state that parking would cost $30 per night. To me, that feels like a hidden fee. If this had been clearly disclosed from the beginning, I would have taken it into consideration before booking, especially since I saw other hotels with better views and competitive prices during my search. The issue is not about the money. If the parking had been $10, I honestly wouldn’t have had a problem paying it. The problem is the lack of transparency. I’ve stayed at this property several times mainly due to Sonesta rewards and parking access in JC. Nice location with views of NYC. Close to Hudson River. Juan at front desk was very helpful and friendly. During my last stay, I was able to hear the guest Nextdoor very clearly through the wall - talking and TV. I used ear plugs and no problem.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful , safe neighborhood near a subway and a whole foods supermarket. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very comfortable, with a kitchen and a cozy atmosphere. It’s clean and definitely worth staying in
