Sleep Inn Statesville I-40

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, making it easy to relax after a long day. The amenities were excellent, and the overall atmosphere felt both inviting and luxurious. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and outstanding service. – Eileen

The only reason I chose this property was I was using Choice points, and an indoor heated swimming pool for the grand kids. The pool was having trouble staying warm for the 2 nights we stayed. The maintenance man was very helpful, did his best and made it work, since they were sold out for the weekend. It was Balloon Festival weekend, and they never had towels at the pool, always had to go to desk and even then had times when none available. This staff needs to come together and prioritize this weekend. The entire 1st day I captured and flushed over a dozen stink bugs that were inside the window screen and managed to get in the room. I'm thankful I know they were just stink bugs, but.... eeewww ! Mold coming from bathroom spigot.... The owner should be aware of the condition of this

Myself and my husband are currently looking for a house to move into, as the one we are currently in needs work and does not accommodate our needs. We originally planned to stay just 2 days while some work was being done to current home, but staff was so friendly and its right in the heart of town where its easy to get to food and shopping so we extended for over a week. Not looking forward to going back to our home in the middle of nowhere, LOL

I was sent to this hotel by my company so I really didn’t have a choice. However with it being a Choice Hotel branded establishment I assumed it would be like many of my other experiences with CHI branded establishments… I wish I could say that but it would be an outright lie. For a place to just lay your head to get some sleep while passing through it might be ok, but for me I would definitely look to other options in the area. This location is very dated and quite honestly not located ideally for anyone who might have to walk to get to outside amenities. There were several areas where the exterior stucco have not been cleaned in some time. The hallway carpets looked nasty. There was no body wash in the shower, only body soap and the package was hard to open. Breakfast wasn't good...no hot eggs, meat, cooked grits or gravy, and the regular coffee was empty so the only choice was decaffinated, which looked and tasted like muddy water. I didn't feel that it met all of my needs. The nice new showers were the best thing about my stay. All staff were friendly and accommodating.
