Lake Norman State Park Campground

Been here a few times and love it! The hosts and rangers are always so nice and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Only wish there was another closer to the outer part of the loop. Tent sites are always clean and ready to go when I get there. Roomy sites and some have views of the lake while others are tucked in the woods. Nice little library by the bath house and board with current events and maps. Going back in the fall and hoping to try out a cabin next year.

We stayed at one of the cabins. Very nice and clean, plenty of space. My only complaint was that it didn’t have a fridge or microwave but other than that it’s beautiful and is a really nice play to stay. We will certainly be back!

Scouting mission to Lake Norman. Always wanted to give this park a try. We had a really nice site. Facilities were very nice. Restrooms were clean and well lit at night. Sites were nicely maintained. Directions for after hours checking in were perfect. Looking forward to a return visit.

We love camping at Lake Norman! This place is super close to home so we can get in there and enjoy the weekend. Sites are nice and large backing in sometimes can be a little tight but once you’re in, you’re all good! Lots of trails to go walking at the beachfront is always nice to go to. They have cabins if you’re nit a rv or tent camper, the bath house is right behind the cabins and it is one of the best bath houses we’ve been to.

Clean bathrooms and very dog friendly. Wide range of accessible trails. We tent camped and hiked, saw lots of people fishing too. Beautiful location. Alder trail is stunning as you get a continuous lake view. Very responsible dog owners from what we saw. Will be returning!!
