Lake Norman Picnic Ground

Beautiful beach. Lots of room. Waters pretty deep to. Had benches, shading, and areas to grill. Not to mention, they have locker rooms with showers. And they even had a snack shop. Over all grate experience. And theres plenty of areas to fish as well. Would recommend.

This campground is peaceful and clean. The family campsites have a picnic table, a gravel/sand space for your tent, and a space for a campfire (with a campfire ring and grill). The bathhouse was cleaned throughout each day. It has some beautiful hiking and biking paths, and even a small beach! My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we were so happy with our stay. We will definitely be visiting again!

I had a wonderful experience! I was at the swimming and picnic area. I didn’t do the hiking trails or camp. Maybe next time though!The atmosphere was so chill and relaxing. There were mostly families there and everyone was drama free band the kids were all well behaved. The grounds were well maintained and the facilities were clean. The lake and surrounding areas were very pretty. I will be back whenever I’m in the area.

I really like this park. Even though I could care less for the rest of the Lake Norman area (on average very entitled, very impatient and, in many cases, rude). This park is a nice little getaway. The picnic area has always been clean with adequate restrooms and plenty of trash and recycling receptacles. Lots of nature and pretty peaceful depending on the day and time you visit.

Came here for a picnic with friends. We had a great time and stayed to watch a beautiful sunset!!! There are picnic tables around the lake but we decided to sit on the blankets.
