Courtyard by Marriott Statesville Mooresville/Lake Norman

Absolutely horrendous smell and customer service. Obvious party room that smelled like body odor, marijuana, and tequila all mixed in a toilet… the smell literally stuck to our clothes and my daughter almost puked as we went down to change rooms. Was told by a rude clerk that nothing could be done, allegedly no other rooms available, she couldn’t leave the desk, no other staff or manager was working, and claimed this room was recently “cleaned”. Claimed she would process the refund, so we left and continued driving 20 more minutes south and staying at a Country Inn (Radisson) that shockingly didn’t smell?! Weird how that’s how low the bar was following the Courtyard fiasco. Come to find out she didn’t process the cancellation or refund until 7:34am the next morning so Booking.com thinks we

Positive: The location. There are several options to walk and eat at or enjoy a movie. Negative: I told the staff member that I was tired and he put me next to an exit door, no Sir. He changed my room but the fact that he thought I wanted to hear a door closing and I told him I was tired just did make sense to me.

My husband and I recently stayed here, twice, during a road trip from Atlanta to Buffalo. The hotel was a perfect respite both times. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, welcoming, and the staff could not have been more accommodating, & understanding, as we required a late check-in due to car issues. EVERYONE was terrific... I regret having written only two names down: Ket, and Anthony, yet all were so terrific from the front desk, bar/bistro/chef, housekeeping, to the sweet kind man at the front desk who came & checked on me to see if the pool was overly chlorinated...it was perfect, & so was our stay.|Thank you so much.|See you next summer,|Sincerely,|Mary Ellen & Larry

Not worth the price you pay considering no complimentary breakfast items (not even a granola bar or apple to go). Hoping i caught staff on a bad day, but they were pretty rude. Stayed mostly because pet fee was tolerable, wouldn’t necessarily stay again.

The managent here is top notch. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. My family got a great night of peaceful sleep.
