Sleep Inn Mt. Pleasant - Charleston

I enjoyed the stay, the room had a bit of a musty smell and the shower was deceiving to step up into. Otherwise, all was fine. All staff was kind and helpful but Joseph in the breakfast eatery area was awesome. What a wonderful man to help out and chat with.

The pictures were more promising than the actual room. Everything looked tired (the pictures show that some rooms have had their carpet replaced with vinyl flooring but ours was not one of them) and we spotted a bug crawling across the counter within a few minutes of our arrival. Front desk staff was friendly. Fortunately we were only booked for one night. The linens seemed clean as did the bathroom.

The location is convenient and provides easy access to the city. The room was clean, and parking was sufficient. That said, there were a few downsides. Although the standing shower was nice, the door didn’t seal properly, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor during use. As a result, there was visible mold starting to develop in the corner. The elevator also wasn’t working, which made carrying luggage to the upper floors difficult. Breakfast was very minimal no juice or protein options, just bread, cornflakes, and fruits. Overall, the property has a lot of room for improvement.

Stayed one night with my dog while traveling through Charleston. Arrived later in the evening (around 9 pm) and was greeted immediately by the front desk staff member who friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable; no complaints at all. The location is convenient to Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. I felt safe walking the dog after dark. Tucked well off the main road so it was peaceful. Breakfast buffet was typical for this level of hotel stay.

I am in the process of disputing the charges to my credit card. The bathroom was too tiny for two guests in one room. No privacy. The sink was outside the tiny toilet and shower. The web info indicated the property was renovated. I have left several messages request that property owner Patel call me. I have yet to hear from him. I did not stay at the property after viewing the room. I want the charges refunded.
