Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA Holiday

We had a wonderful stay at KOA! The campground and cabins were extremely clean and well maintained, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. The amenities were great and everything was thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to enjoy our time there. The staff truly stood out — everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the campground in top shape and making guests feel at home. We had such a great experience that we’re already looking forward to going back for another staycation. Highly recommend this KOA to anyone looking for a clean, enjoyable getaway!

Everything about this campground was top notch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was very convenient to visiting Charleston, and our site backed up to a little stream that had ducks playing in it most days.||We also took advantage of walking trails through the woods, which was a nice benefit. ||We certainly will come back here next time we’re in the area.

As a returning camper we did not have a pleasant experience this time. Traveled over 9 hours with the same dog permitted the prior year only to be turned away because of her breed even though she is a service animal. Manager was quite rude and his excuse was “I was not the manager last year so whoever was doesn’t know how to follow rules”. Upon leaving noticed 2 other beautiful well behaved pits all checked in and ready for their stay. Very thankful we stopped to speak to the campers as they pointed us towards another campground with no pet restrictions. That family also left the next morning due to management. We will never return to KOA Mt Pleasant. Especially considering I have tried reaching owner by email and phone and told “the manager” will forward my concerns to the owner. I’m sure

Beautiful campground with friendly staff. This KOA is very clean and well manicured. Spacious sites with full hookups and plenty of restrooms, showers and on site laundry. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays you can hop on the wagon ride to get an in depth tour of the Oakland plantation and grounds, with lots of history and beauty. The KOA offers tons of activities for the whole family to enjoy, from planned activities hosted by the staff, to bike rentals, nature trails, kayaking, pattle boats and much more. They offer on site propane filling and it's conveniently located within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Best KOA in the USA, and we have stayed at tons of them! Amazing friendly staff, great communication before arrival & easy check in. Great selection in onsite store. Super clean showers and bathrooms. Long & large campsites with full hook ups. Great hike path in woods behind campground. And the massively huge Kamp K9 (dog park) is the best of any KOA we have ever stayed at! Part of dog park is even a fenced in shallow lake for dogs to get to swim! Highly recommend! We will keep coming back!
