Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant - Charleston

We had a beautiful suite that was very clean and very comfortable. The beds for me were perfect. Although the hotel did not offer breakfast, we would grab a coffee to go and we found wonderful breakfast places locally. We enjoyed dinner 1 night at the bar as we had a large lunch and needed a light bite. I would definitely stay here again. I'd bring some heat and eat food if you do not want to leave for breakfast. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

The Cambria felt like a new hotel. Rooms were spacious and beds were extremely comfortable. The A/C system worked great. Parking was easy. Gym was very good. There was coffee in the lobby and many tables and areas to work in the common area. Close to Sullivan’s Island, Shem Creek, the airport, and Charleston historic district was a short drive. The only disappointment was not being granted a late checkout when we arrived late at night and the hotel did not seem even close to full. If we returned to Charleston, we would plan to stay at Cambria over one of the more expensive hotels in the historic district which we did not like as well.

I wasn’t going to write a review because the hotel clerk who checked me in was so nice but I have to. I had extended stay a day because our company scheduled a zoom meeting at 11:00am. I was in the meeting with my boss and our clients. The hotel phone starts ringing. Everyone on zoom tries to ignore it. It stops and starts again. I apologize and ask them to ignore it. Then my cell phone starts ringing. Then again another call when I don’t answer. Then they leave a text. I call after the meeting and am told they found the reservation and just wanted to know if I wanted to stay in the same room. REALLY??? So the next morning I’m checking out and exactly 11am here goes the phone again. I’m trying to gather my things and now I’m rushing out the door. I realize over 20 miles from the hotel I’ve

Rooms are clean, quiet, dark at night and hotel is well kept. Great location. Friendly staff. I really wish they would t use those scent diffuser machines in the lobby- super toxic and makes me feel asthmatic (I dont have asthma). I have to hold my breath in the lobby and not linger but no scent machines in hallways or elevators so it’s ok. Otherwise woild have been a 10. Note to hotel owners: focus on fresh air filters and cleanliness instead of masking with toxic chemicals 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻People with autoimmune react strongly to VOCs and formaldehyde. Stayed here for three nights and chose this hotel because of all the “quiet”reviews. I was looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay. It turned out to be a very noisy hotel! The windows seem to be soundproof, however the floors were the opposite and carried noise. We listened to the guests above us stomp and bang around much of the time and you can hear doors slamming often. If you have an adjoining room next to you, you might as well be staying in the same room as the people on the other side of the wall. Outside of the noise, the rooms are designed well, nicely appointed, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The customer service is very good and the location is very convenient. However, if you’re looking for quiet, look elsewhere.
