Tru by Hilton Mt Pleasant Charleston

We've been staying at this property for years when visiting the Isle of Palms and have never left a review before. This is an excellent mid level hotel. We have never had a single issue here. Its about 8 minutes from the beach and about 15 minutes from Downtown Charleston. The rooms are on the smaller side, but are updated and comfy. The staff is always nice and available. They also have a pool table in the lobby which we take full advantage of whenever we get back late at night. Recently, I made a mistake with our booking dates, which were non refundable. But the hotel was kind enough to cancel and refund the incorrect reservation and we were able to book the right dates. Thank you for your understanding!!

Overall good. Clean, quiet room. Biggest issue was breakfast. Yogurt dispenser broken 3 out of 4 days we stayed. Sausage was fairly gross; powdered scrambled eggs and cheese omelet not good. No bacon any of the days.

Positive: Staff were hospitable from meeting us with a cart when we arrived, throughout our stay. The room was simple and clean. The lobby felt like a community room with a decent breakfast, a board with recommended activities and games. Location was convenient. Negative: ""

My bed was not re done. The floor is sticky and if the light is just right one would say like it's peter pan on the pillow case. Besides there was more peubick hair on the sheets then around my sack. Room extremely small. So in conclusion , some body is not doing there job.

The customer service was good, and for hotel breakfast standards it was pretty decent. The sausage wasn’t dry and there were good pancakes and omelets. They don’t have strong coffee though, just decaf and regular. The hotel was clean. My mattress was a spring one, so it kind of felt like I was crashing in a spare room rather than sleeping at a hotel. The price is still pretty reasonable for what you’re getting. I’d stay here again
