Sleep Inn Fredericksburg North

Five stars is a lot, but when it's midnight and the reservation you made from one of those sites isn't there, (for a hotel that was much more, and had an odor in the lobby)and you walk into this place and Rachel and her smiling face and demeanor greet you, it's a five. The room didn't have an odor, and we didn't have to traipse through a lobby and elevator to get to the room. The sheets and bed were comfy, there was (surprisingly) more than adequate breakfast choices to get one on their way.

Good location for access to I-95. Reasonable rate (using AAA). Room was nice but bathroom area definitely needs attention. Drywall and paint need redone. Carpet is torn in bath entryway. Bed was not as comfortable as previous stays with Sleep. Could be replaced with a memory foam topper or other new mattress. Otherwise clean.

Rooms were clean and neat but the place needed touch up like painting .Breakfast wasn't much. Just waffles toast and cereal. Coffee and tea were lukewarm at best. Staff was very nice. Overall a so so experience

Visited 11/30-12/4/2025 The rooms were fine and clean had a refrigerated microwave that was great! Restaurant and a new Sheetz gas station in walking distance. Had a issue with the room door key I was moved to another room without any issues and then back to my original room after it was fixed.

Positive: we've stayed several times before, it's clean, comfortable. Negative: the room heating system was difficult to read, thus hard to set right.
