Siesta Inn McAllen

Although it’s a bit older, this hotel is spotlessly clean. The rooms are large. The beds are comfortable. It is fairly quiet although on a major street. A few negatives though. There is no in room safe. There is not a wardrobe to put clothes into. But still it is a reasonable place to stay.

And had us pay extra for what? Over prices for nothing and sheets were dirty and smelly. No ice in the ice machine literally looked broken. Pool was not open both times we've stayed there both during the summer so super hot.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while I was in town for business. I have stayed at my fair share of hotels in my life but by far this one was probably the worst. The older gentleman that owns it is a little rusty with his people skills. I asked for more towels my first night since we had gone to their pool that day and he argued with me why I needed more. I asked for house keeping to come by to pick up trash and dirty towels i had prepared and left by the door... he argued with me about that as well. There is a young woman who also works in the office and she was pleasant to deal with. The pool is also pretty clean. Those two reasons are the only reason I am giving the place any ratings at all. The hotel room was i wouldn't say terrible but there is a mystery substance on the wall and

Updated to respond to owner: I feel cheated by their booking site that made it seem like this was an amazing hotel. Not only did they make us wait hours after our check in time, because of construction (which is understandable) however, when asked for a discount for this we were denied and when offered a smaller room we asked if we would get a lower rate (due to the room being smaller) and were also denied. The staff is friendly enough but the manager is awful and the pics are definitely doctored to make the place seem better than what it is. Shower constantly dripped, bathroom was chipped, door was not set properly so there was a hot air draft, hot and cold water was not working properly, and fire alarm went off constantly. We were basically catfished by this property and the pictures

You will have anything you need in your room. Iron, Microwave, Refrigerator, Hair Dryer, BIG Flat Screen TV, Cable and good WiFi. Rooms and showers are clean. If you’re looking for the best value and don’t mind the decor, this is the hotel for you.
