Sherman Park Campground

The grounds need to be better maintained. The spot I rented was supposed to include sewer and water but we could not find the sewer pipe and the water source already had 4 rvs ganged off of it.

Dirty noisy and lacking in every way. Sites are grassy and a decent size, but neighbors were constantly running generators at all hours of the night. Online their website mentions public bathrooms are available which close nightly as they are apart of the park next door. No showers are available. The bathrooms when open were disgusting and poorly maintained the trash was not emptied during our weekend stay. One of the dozen other nearby campgrounds would surely be a better solution.

Sites are spaced out lots of room. Stayed for 5 days, they had at least 8 electric sites that were empty the whole time and couldn't book them. So ppl ran their generators all night and all day. Despite rules against it. No generator decibel limit so was like a bunch of lawnmowers running constantly. The camp host didn't seem to care about the rules.

June 2025 water was nice and warm. Beach was busy, but wasn't over crowded. Fun to watch frieghters with the kids and splash in the water.
