The Last Resort

I'll start by saying I am hesitant to give this place the review they deserve because I don't want the secret to get out and they will be too busy for me to book a room from them in the future but here goes anyways. In my opinion the Last Resort is the best place to stay in the Soo. The owner and his family are some of the nicest people you could ever imagine. They are incredibly knowledgeable about anything Soo related that you could possibly ask them. The rooms are spotless and the baitshop has everything you need to go fishing if thats your thing too.

I hadn't counted on the leaf peeper tourists filling up all the motels near LSSU and in downtown. We were about to give up on the Soo and head down to St. Ignace when we drove by the Last Resort (and Bait Shop). ||||The young man at the desk was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, and beds comfortable. Heat was adjustable, wifi and cable good. Will stay here again!

We love this place ! The new owners have spent a lotta time and money fixing it up ! They treat us well and are very friendly! The rooms and new and clean ! It’s has everything you need for a short stay or long stay ! We go every year for the 🌲⚡️ electric forest . It’s so peaceful and comfy and relaxing . Wild Bills tackle shop had everything I needed to set up my boat I just bought. Dave and Billy did a great job lining me up with every aspect of fishing walleyes from poles,reels,line, planning boards,tackle to bait. Great knowledge and experience. Taylor's warm smiling welcome as I entered the shop even with being very busy answering phones and helping customers with Last Resort customers. Highly recommend both places right on the river.

This is our second trip and stay @ Last resort. Family owned and operated. Service was top notch. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Beds are comfortable. They also have a bait shop for people who want to fish. Very affordable rooms highly recommend .
